Daysha Featured as Black Playwright to Know by IAMA Theatre

In honor of Black History Month, Daysha was featured on IAMA Theatre’s Instagram as a Black playwright to know.

IAMA Theatre Company is a Los Angeles-based ensemble of artists committed to cultivating new voices and creating new works that push boundaries and take risks, while fostering an inclusive community that inspires theatre-makers of future generations. IAMA is invested in challenging our audiences with an authentic experience that reflects our complex modern world.

Daysha is currently part of IAMA’s Under 30 Playwright’s Lab. The IAMA Under 30 Playwrights Lab is an artistic home for early-career and emerging Los Angeles-based playwrights. Over the course of this one-year residency, the writers meet on a monthly basis, to share and develop a full-length play in a peer-guided format.

Members of the Lab will also be given dramaturgical support from the Artistic and Literary staff at IAMA, as well as a ticket to each of IAMA's mainstage productions. The Lab will culminate in readings of each member's full length plays in a potentially public format in the summer of 2022.
