Legacy Selected For Production in the 24th Annual Boston Theater Marathon

Legacy, a 10-min play written by Daysha during her time in grad school at UCLA, was selected for The 24th annual Boston Theater Marathon.

Founded in 1981 by Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre is an award-winning professional theatre dedicated specifically to new works for the stage.

The festival is currently scheduled to take place in person on May 1st and will feature new work from 49 playwrights.

Legacy tells the story of a black teen who struggles to find the right words to explain to their overzealous mother why they are no longer interested in attending their family's legacy HBCU.
